Coronavirus infection is a global issue with almost all countries effected. Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a highly contagious disease caused by a new strain of Coronavirus. The disease causes respiratory disorder (just like flu) with symptoms such as cough, fever, and in severe cases, difficulty in breathing. The symptoms may resemble from those due to common cold to more serious ailments such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The offshore working staff, who go in for Seaman and OGUK certification, need to declare in the forms about their recent travel, symptomatology and Covid testing , if any they have done.

• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue while sneezing and coughing.
• Keep social distancing and avoid large massive gatherings.
• Consult a doctor if you’re feeling sick (fever, difficulty in breathing and cough). If you’ve got these symptoms please call your doctor. Throw used tissues into closed bins immediately.
• Practice frequent hand washing. Clean hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
